Gestalt Therapy

From thinking into feeling.

We usually try to solve our problems with our minds — we brood, we analyse, we go round in circles. But real change rarely comes from thinking alone. Gestalt therapy is an invitation to move out of the head and into the body, and out of “back then” into the here and now. We don’t only search the past. We look at how your concerns show up today — and how they can be resolved today.

Experience, not endless analysis.

Many people know exactly where their problem lies and still feel stuck. That happens because what we know and what we feel are usually kept apart. Gestalt therapy closes that gap. Through exercises and experiments, your concerns become something you can experience rather than only describe. When you live a situation through again and shape it differently, the answer takes hold in all of you — not only in your head.

The four pillars of Gestalt therapy.

Gestalt therapy is not a fixed technique. It is a stance of mindfulness and respect. In a living dialogue between equals, I help you sharpen your perception and become whole again:

The here and now: We bring old stories into the present. The present moment is the only place where we have the power to change anything.

Awareness: We train your attention on the obvious: what do you feel right now? The body is often more honest than our words.

Contact: Healing happens in encounter. We look at how you reach out to me and to the world — and where you withdraw.

Wholeness: We do not see a person as a sum of symptoms, but as one whole of body, mind and soul, seeking its balance.

A living encounter.

You will not be lying passively on a couch here. We sit facing each other and work together. Where words are not enough, we use creative materials, we work with the “empty chair” to give your inner voices a hearing, or we bring the body in. Everything is allowed: laughter, tears, anger and silence. I am there as a real counterpart — warm, honest, and always on the side of your growth.

What can change for you:

Self-regulation: You build trust in your own power to steer yourself and to stay balanced even in stormy times.

Authenticity: You put down the old, rigid masks and dare to be as you really are — without bending yourself out of shape for anyone.

Closeness: You learn to allow real, deep contact without losing yourself in it, and your relationships become alive and open.

Vitality: Old emotional blocks dissolve, your energy can flow freely again, and you feel awake and alive in everyday life.

Get to know the approach.

Whether Gestalt therapy is the right path for you is best found out in person. The chemistry between client and therapist does more of the work than any method. So please take up the free initial consultation — about 20 minutes, with no obligation — and see for yourself how I work. The consultation and the sessions that follow are held in English.

The framework for your therapy:

Time that fits: We are not tied to the 50-minute slot the statutory insurers impose. We take the time your process needs that day.

No paperwork: We can concentrate entirely on the work itself. No applications, no assessment reports for a health insurer.

Complete discretion: No data goes to any insurer, so your therapy stays your own affair and appears in no official file.

Freedom of method: We can use exactly the methods that help you now, without having to follow a rigid catalogue of approved procedures.
